Core Commitments

We desire to glorify God and cultivate faith through:

Word-Ministry

Faith in Jesus saves. The way that God has chosen to ignite faith in people’s hearts is through hearing about who Jesus is and what Jesus has done. Consequently, the most important and lasting ministry of the church is word-ministry—preaching, teaching, and conversing in such a way that we are constantly pointing one another to the preeminence of Jesus Christ.

Corporate Prayer

We glorify God when we acknowledge our dependence on him for all good things. Not only that but God chooses to act in response to the prayers of his people when they’re offered in faith.

Love for One Another

One way that God’s people ought to stand out from the rest of the world is by their profound love for one another. Our desire is that every member of the church would experience the sensation of belonging to a family, in which every member cares deeply for one another.

Lifelong Transformation

When a person decides to follow Jesus, it’s not a one-time event. Living as a follower of Jesus is a lifelong process that involves becoming more like him in the way that we think, feel, and act. True followers of Jesus will grow for the duration of their lives.

Blessing Our Local Community

We don’t want to just exist in our community, we want it to be a better place as we intentionally do good to those who live here. Our goal is that the community of Paddock Lake, in particular, would be blessed by both the ministries of the church and the church’s involvement in community affairs.

Finishing the Mission

God still has many people who have yet to hear and respond to the gospel. We exist to participate in the sharing of the gospel to those both near (evangelism) and far (missions), as we seek to finish the mission that Jesus gave us, to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth, with an emphasis on those who are considered “unreached.”

Multiplication

Lord willing, as believers share the gospel and people profess faith in Jesus, new believers are created. As the number of believers increases, churches should multiply to plant more churches in strategic places of need.

Family Discipleship

We are eager for faith to be passed on from one generation to the next. In God’s design, parents ought to be the primary disciplers of their kid(s). The church exists, in part, to charge and equip parents to fulfill this responsibility.
