Steve Hurley

Elder

Steve has served as an elder at Westosha Lakes for approximately 10 years. Steve has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a masters degree in Management.

Steve is married to Machele and they have six adult children and five grandchildren. Steve retired from law enforcement after serving 40 years. He retired from the Racine Police Department as the Assistant Chief after 33 years and then served 7 years as the Chief of Police for the Town of Geneva.

Steve was raised in a Christian home and grew up knowing Jesus most of his life.  When he was in ninth grade he prayed with his pastor to accept Christ as his savior and was baptized as a public profession of his faith.

What is your hope for WLC?

Steve’s hope for Westosha Lakes is to continue to introduce people to Christ both locally and through foreign missions. His hope is that the love of Jesus would continue to be evident to all that have contact with WLC and to continue to develop disciples to share the gospel.
